Late afternoon,
sundown soon, was a hot day in February here in the Banana Republic....

have been busy building the new garden, pickhoe most mornings,
trying to get ready for whats coming...

also have been reconditioning tools, removing rust with Ospho, and
painting... today painted a small hatchet & an 18 inch rula machete I
made, also made leather scabbard for.. Both hatchet & machete are
going into my bug out kit....

I also rebuilt a hoe dag tree planting tool, going to use it for
planting bananas etc...

the new garden is coming along fine, have been terracing, and soon
to break out into a flatter area where it should go much faster...
Also planted a couple experimental beds of papa chilicanas, where I
used rotten logs, forest duff, and brush choppings, mixed w/topsoil,
to create deep beds of compost to plant the spuds in...

my farm was a ruined cattle farm when I bought it, with zero topsoil
left.. in the last 15 years of rehab its grown an inch of topsiol
here & there, due to decomposition of the brush leaves etc....

So as I'm digging terraces, I pull all the organics and topsoil onto
the slope, and then carve the flats... Here in central america its
best to grow things if possible on slopes for better drainage, which
results in better tilth, while the flat surfaces get rain hammered and
stay soggy....

so my terraces are distinct, with the operative surface being the
slope, and the flats used for access paths, or growing rice, which
likes hard soil & does fine on mineral subsoils if you season them a
few years in clover... Its a limestone mountain... and I double dig
by carving the terrace toe into the deep mineral subsoil, and mixing
some with the organic material & topsoil on the operative slopes...

I've also been struggling with some dental work... seems mercury
fillings degrade ones teeth over time, as well as being toxic...

interesting how the experts are always puffed up about how much they
know, and later we get to pay for their mistakes, and their attitude
never changes.. theyre always wrong and pretending to be invariably
right...

anyway, glad I have a good dentist...

I did a low budget town run, got food, dentistry, and managed to buy
a couple small screw drivers, and a couple three cheap stainless
cookware items... bowls & fudge pans....

the screw drivers are replacements for some that grew legs, and
thinking to buy a couple more of the same size, and upgrade my sewing
awls... 70 cents and a couple hours with a file.... I use a fine 3
sided awl for sewing heavy leather, and a fine round awl for nylon
strap etc.......

I also found a yuppie style stainless water bottle for $3.65, and
snagged it for my refugee gear... its 26 oz. So a bit smaller than
the water bottles I've been making from stainless thermos liners and
plastic water pipe fittings...

I also found a couple of stubby 115 V light bulbs, for another
project; collecting parts to turn a cheap stainless chowder mug from
India, into a light bulb stove for my hotel survival kit... i wake up
in the wee hours of the morning, and would like coffee or tea, long
long before the latins drag sorry asses out of snuggly beds and open
their cafe's.....

and the hotels usually have no more than one electrical receptical,
so I can use their power to warm up my water & brown it some... and
the bulb stove would double as a lamp.. As hotel rooms here often have
the lowest wattage bulb possible, making reading after dark hard on
one's eyes...

I also searched online today, as my old fone batteries allowed, and
found the beginning of the trail to Arni Coro's QRP transcievers made
from lightbulb parts... arni is in wikipedia...

and he's spot on about transcievers from junk parts...

I think its the answer to government controlled web, and day after
armagedon scenarios; QRP very low power transcievers running a digital
web, beneath government radar, and at post nuclear power consumption
rates.. I suggest such webs have send & recieve intervals, and
computers retransmit to extend web outward....

I suggest all you folk who consider yourselves survivalists get into
QRP, AND GET SET UP, as government will soon be choking your web
access down to politically correct pablum & more than mildly incorrect
propaganda... Read; official lies.....

and the only way around the faggot bastards is going to be low power,
mobile, HF webs.....

and after they get done nuking the dogshit out of our pretty bluegreen
planet, you'll be lucky to find five watts laying around to use to
communicate with...

that kind of wattage can be had from crude home brewed batteries, or
nearly dead car batteries...

also suggest again everybody get a download library going, stored EMP
proof... would be wise for the hackers to get around wikipedia's
silly online only format, and down load it onto EMP shielded hard
drive arrays etc...

cause baby, your going to miss it when its gone..

and if everybody who can, stores as much as possible, it can be
brought back to life.....

anyway, I'm digging in here... The New Zealand quake wasnt lost on
me... earthquakes & food shortages in diverse places, and wars &
rumors of wars, is starting to smell real familiar....

and so most mornings I'm swinging my heavy grub hoe, headed for a one
acre subsistence garden to grow even my staple crops in..

I rely on the system, like I trust my exwife...

actually the ex has become a better person... While the government has
become a terminally insane collective entity....

best you run from it... Its a real monster...

I feel quite content reducing my contributions to governments to less
than I give to street beggars... as the beggars seem to be better
quality humans than politicians and bureauocrats....

and every cent possible I'm trying to upgrade or augment my survival
gear, especially agricultural tools...

strange thing; I'm getting forged hoe heads here in central america
for $8, thats the price of 8 pounds of dry beans... imagine if our
anscestors could have traded 8 lbs of beans for a tool capable of
growing tons every year?

so I'm trying to get a few extra hoe heads, for those stragglers who
happen to survive hell day...

a hoe head will sure be worth more than it's weight in gold after the crash....

Monday 7 February 2011........

Morning,
been busy since dawn, a bit of organizing, washing dishes, heating
food etc.. Is a nice morning, clearer skys, rained last night, but
stars out when I woke.. was cold so I lit a fire for company for
Chia & me...

too wet to dig in the garden, after lastnight's good rain....

I thought about all you people cornered into cities, and whats coming,
and how you never get to see the stars, or sit by a fire with a good
dog...

looks like insanity to me... Always chasing your economic tail, like a
city dog chasing cars...

and I feel sorry for you in whats coming....
Sounds crazy, I know, the biblical stuff, but all I can say, is read
it for yourself.. genesis 6, talking about non-earthling humans
breeding w/humans, or Judges 5:20 about ships in space fighting in
land battles.. or all the stuff in book of Enoch online...

once you get it that it an extra-planety project, and they use
machines, and that theyve manipulated us since day one, and that its
a project in progress, not a cute & comfy fairy tale religion about
nice guys and some grandfatherly god looking out for our interests in
spite of all the shitty things we all do, it gets real serious
fast....

the nice guys have done mass genocide on this planet on various
ocasions... exterminating Sodom & Gamorrah for being too
politically correct... exterminating the occupants of the now
israel area ahead of the jews wandering in to take over homes & lands
and planted orchards...

and coming back to exterminate all but a few survivors, who they
happen to like the genetics of, like some horse, or registered
goats...

and our military isnt going to do shit to stop them.. Its got its head
up its own aft end, bickering with other forces of neo-nobility, over
petty shit..

so I think we're going to deserve what we get... and get what we deserve...

all the people playing big money games... all those who are
mini-Madovs, expecting Berni to make them rich with out having to do
anything themselves, except loan money.....

Saturday... 5 Febuary 2011.........

Morning,
went out digging at daylight,
carving a terrace trail above the new garden area, and on this end...
It was a section thats been bothering me, wanted to get it done, and
almost did, except ran into big black biting ants on the last few
feet of the far end..

its good exercise, swinging a heavy hoe, moving large amounts of
dirt.. You know youve done something...

and it looks so nice when you finish a path or terrace...

I have quite a bit of digging left to finish the section, but am
happy doing it, will be very pretty, and more than a repair job on
the cattle erosion and wounded scrub left from past owners of the
land...

I erase the cattle erosion, create nice access trails, plant
manicillo clover under the citrus, and plant food plants on the
slopes..

when I get done reshaping the area, will go back with a light hoe, and
till the slopes, and plant papa spuds, Sagu, maybe some ginger? and
will do areas of a perinial tropical spinach green... until salad is
as sure as politicians lying....

Heard yesterday the nominal right wingers on short wave, figuring out
that their new republicans were about to make the Anti-Patriot Act
permanent..

i.e. Their great white hope was about to castrate
them..

yup! doesnt matter which way you vote, or who wins, you get screwed..

I gave up voting about 20 years ago...didnt want to legitimize the
shenanigans...

now days I focus on getting ready for where it all leads...

to a culture, politics is like cancer... the least you can do is not feed it..

in modern times, its like an IQ test looking at who's bailing out..
The really stupid ones seem to be going down with the burning blimp..

And those with half a brain or better are getting out of the
technocult in droves...

its small by percentages, but substancial by numbers...

I feel pretty good, beat the rush... got my land about 15 X cheaper
than they will..

which means on average theyll get 15X less land...
i got almost 70 acres, the average escapee from the technocult today,
will get maybe 5 acres..

I went to Panama the other day, it was a budget
trip, but I did find a place selling military surplus clothing.. I
walked into the guys store after seeing the used camouflage hanging
out front, and discovered he had German Army style wool pants...
Which are my cold weather favorites.. I got a pair for my refugee
Pack/kit, for nuclear winter effect..

here I am in the tropics, booting cold weather gear eh? he also had
a bunch of other stuff.. I want to go back to his store every trip,
and buy an item or two...

work up a stash of jungle clothing, enough to last my life I hope...

Also found a new Agriculture store, with some good tools.. will be
back there every chance also.. they had Imacasa machetes cheaper than
anywhere I've ever seen.. and I'm hoping to work up a stash of a
dozen..

I was short on money, so I did alot of scouting for things on my
lists, and found the best deals, to hit next trip....

I also found some quality nylon rope, I want to do a small project, a
sling for killing giants.. saw a really nice one on line,
search images;

which is an incredibly nice braided leather sling, that taught me more
about slings than anything I've ever seen before.. sized for egg
sized rocks..

I want to do a modern materials version, using braided nylon rope, &
have been thinking how to do the pocket etc.. I'm currently thinking
to unbraid the rope & core a bit, and fray it out evenly from both
ends and use contact cement to glue it between nylon seat belt strap,
and a hunk of leather, then sew over it all, creating a leather
lined/nylon backed pocket, and 3/8's inch ropes.. Then pull out some
rope core on the ends, and progressively trim, to create tapers for
loop & release...

I like archaic weapons.. why? They still work fine, and are under
rated.. look at it this way, the weapon of the anti status quo
protester around the planet, is the stone... Not much of a match for
an assault rifle, but a thousand people throwing stones can give an
army patrol a real headache...

its like the problems in mid east now.. if the people had slings, and
acted in mass, they could make the military monopoly franchise on
force a historical footnote.. a big protest might be a hundred
thousand or more people.. Arm them with slings, and the police wont
win..

the problem with peaceful protests, is one side is too stupid to
bring any weapons... real handy for the other side..

JC said if you dont have a sword, you should sell your clothes & get
one... do you suppose he thought much of non violent protest?

non violent protests are for giving a warning.. They arent an ends..
the most effective non violent protest, is the one where all the
protesters are armed to the teeth...

personally I think things have gone way beyond the level of being
fixed by anything short of world wide civil war.. its either that, or
the status quo wake up.. Which is about as likely as Santa deciding to
wear green next Christmas...

the non violent protest programming came from the TV set.. Same as all
the other programing...

sounds good on paper, but its effectively a zero...

being nice will get you screwed... Fact of life folks..

you think the skygods will show up unarmed?

in any potential conflict, rule of thumb, is you take the best weapons
you have.. if youre stupid enough to let the government disarm you
with words or paper or movies, youre just right for a slave....
