Continued....

Another example is clothing; remember the classic cartoon castaway
on a desert island, with his clothing in shreds & tatters?

There's a reason that vignette has made it down to us...

because if your clothing is limited in quantity, and youre living
survival or subsistence, after about a year, thats what it starts
looking like...

what that means to the long term survivalist, is you'd best do some
thinking.. a bug out pack often assumes limited duration experience..
and the results of WORLD WAR THREE are going to be rather open
ended....

WW3 is evolving now... the insane status quo types are working
towards it daily...

I've been learning survival & subsistence skills by doing it... Ahead
of the curve... When its easiest to overcome encountered problems...

I think the average survivalist wannabee is going to suffer alot of
reality... my advice, is when in doubt, head retro... be at least
mentally astute in making your own gear... also stock up on things,
and have stashes... doesnt hurt to have excess clothing properly
stored some where... Or excess other tools & gear....

its one of my own justifications for excess gear, & something to do
with my projects after experimental developement.... it can be turned
into remote stash items, or just put aside for gifts for some less
fortunate friend who survives, but has to run from his baggage to do
that....
