Blog entry; Friday 27th 2009.........

Morning,, just waking up....

thinking about things I've heard on short wave lately.... Two sides;
same shit continues, and people waking up... I hear people coming
to the same conclusions I have, like the centralization vs
decentralization thing.. My point is I think the balance is alot
farther towards decentralization than most would.... for the most
part those on radio are arguing over a slight difference between a
fulcrum zone of capitalism and socialism.... well if you only
combine those two, you get fascism any way you stir the brew.....

Capitalism+ Socialism= Fascism.

yes? Or no? think about it, all they are argueing over is which way
to lean the fascism....

I'm saying we dont really need any of that shit, and so should be
extremely careful how much of what we invite into our lives.. prime
example might be farming tech. where is the balance point between a
hoe and a huge agribiz tractor of several hundred horse power? the
hoe will work, but it also limit one's production enough that to do
bulk staples etc., you'll have to be out there every day working at
it, and can easily be wiped out by a rain lodging your corn, or a
wet spell and fungus taking your beans.. I've done big gardens
before, they take alot of work... most people I know begin to use
technology as garden size increases, and their age advances.. older
people generally go to at least a rototiller... and most growing bulk
go to a tractor... and many have both.... I consider the hoe
to be life insurance.. it works without the technocult.... but it
also should be suplimented if you havent got a group of people
co-operating on the bulk food trip... its why families on farms were
traditionally large, to provide enough labor at peak periods like
planting or harvest times.... basicaly small scale ag was very labor
intensive... I think it is possible to do all by hand with a micro
family... even one or two people could do bulk foods etc. and get
enough, i.e. What you need, and a reserve....

but my thoughts on it are it would be wise to use the tech while its
available to get a larger reserve, and keep the hoe too, another
route might be buying a bulk food reserve and using the hoe too, or
like most on radio, buying a reserve of food and gardening veggies,
and still relying on the system for bulk items... i dont think this is
a good idea....

the system is getting unreliable, as are people..

people still havent made a realization of necesity because the money
still works, and so they worship the golden calf.....

when the fascism, which is a nice important sounding word for
corruption, gets worse, so does the money...

I figure it will be too late by the time people wake up... and the
reasons I am selling my farm and going to a different one are myriad,
but they include being able to add some tech into my neoindigenism to
make up for lodged corn, and unreliable or problematic humans, or
price of boughten food reserve etc... I am seeking a new balance
zone that works better than what I have going... I'm not worried..
either the farm sells and I do it, or it doesnt and I eat alot of
bananas, Casava, and breadnuts... but my point is I think the
balance between man and technocult is now owning a tiller & small
tractor etc. and as things worsen and a collapse looms, one
digresses to the hoe as fuel and repair parts become more difficult...

I fully expect the people in my group to dink around until at least
almost too late... My buddy has gone from zero to 60 lately, within
the last couple years.. from denial to extreme action.. And on all
fronts... others in my group are making progress too, but I am tired
of waiting for help that never comes, and so cashing in my chips on
this farm if possible and starting over at what I think to be the
best balance point for someone operating alone... the root of my
problem is wanting to count on others.. i.e. Socialism, which doesnt
work due to self centered natures... and so I am thinking to up the
capitalism a bit for awhile to increase my technology to allow me to
use remaining time better to do what I think I can....
If the farm sells, I will also likely buy a food reserve.. which at
my diet levels isnt much outlay, less than $500 per year... but I
will buy and properly store enough for a couple years, and try my
business model which should soon make that stored food into a joke,
we shall see... I may get caught by the times, and have to down
scale my visions, but somewhere between where I am now, and where I
think I should head for is where I will end up...
I talked to a realitor yesterday, the third... I tried Century 21,
wanting name recognition, they didnt adequately answer my calls and
emails, I tried another company, and got a lazy half hearted
response, and so yesterday, number 3 try, and we will see where it
goes.....

I also have a residency problem looming... but I know it will work
out somehow, they wont want to feed me in jail... and I am more
than willing to leave if the farm sells, and go elsewhere, or change
gears, and just build a boat to live on and go Ocean Nation.. I've
learned the value of flexibility in dealing with sick realities....

And if I cant make something work on the ground, I know I can do
just fine at sea.... I really dont need to "own" any of the
planet.... I know I can get by fine if I have a roof over my head,
a dry place to sleep and cook, and a place to store what little
materialism I might need.... and I can eat fish, coconuts, or rent
a garden spot somewhere......

the tranquility comes from letting go of any certain outcome, and
letting go of people, and just realizing the basics minus the
vanities....

subsistence means getting low, seeking a balance point between labor
and soup bowl, and learning to like it..

What I know, from my realizations, is that my neoindigenous mindset
allows me to slowly find my path and not lose as much from the
inevitable and all too common failures of life... an example might
be my table.. it all comes apart, and makes a small stack of
boards.... I've had other tables I've made in life, but they got
left behind.. this one is more portable, and if necessary could be
easlily used or just stored on a boat.... I want to build a 24 ft
yurt, and do it the same... all come apart.. Why? Same reasons, so I
have a house I dont have to leave behind, come what may.... one that
will fit on a boat as a small stack of lumber... may have to cut a
special little access in my hull to insert boards into one at a time,
but I can do that.... and sail off some where, taking my yurt,
table, hammock, and my hoe.... If I get another farm and some mech.
fine. but I will design my model to be mobile, i.e. have my
equipment fit on my truck etc. along w/yurt and table....

My point is being mobile minded works for any situation, being
flexible in one's dreams allows weaving one's way through sick
realities and out the far side.. and being more independent keeps
you teflon coated to human problems... basically its all applied
taoism.... learning to let go of ideas until you find something
basic that works....

I'm becomming a fairly calm survivalist, sure of my own ability to
get by somehow.. I work on my neoindigenous projects, knowing that
they and the aquired skills are not dependent on the technocult...
my steel bow when finished can go on the load... having my own act
in proper order from the fundamentals upward is a better design for
sucess than assuming anything... no system, no other person is as
reliable as I am in looking out for me if I apply myself to it...

Much of the problems people are having now are due to wanting to rely
on something bigger and outside of themselves... a system, a job, a
technology, a retirement plan, all boil down to an imaginary Mommy
effect... yeah, well, I dont need mommy or anyone else if I play my
cards right, and mommy looks like she's running off with her new
lover... time for the kid to unmommy himself....

dawn.. Time to go post this..
