seeing that the steel bow limbs are reacting pretty good to the acid,
some of the pitting looking like its taking the acid.. I suspect I
will need 3 or four hits at least.... but so far, looking good....
Was thinking a wierd thought this morning, that with cloning tech.,
it will soon be possible to have yourself cloned.. and it would put
some serious twists on a plot, if one was able to effectively raise
themself as a child, and use what you'd learned in life along the way
to iron out the head on You 2.....
C.J. cherryh has a similar plot in her book "Cyteen", but its also
fun to think about the concept in conjuntion w/one's own life etc...
then there are the myriad variables possible in multiple cloning,
and also clones of both sexes...
I could see writing a novel where the plot is some guy who gets beat
up by life finally manages to do OK financially, and has himself
cloned a dozen times, and sets off in his space yacht in search of a
planet to colonize with himselves....
it would eliminate alot of problems in relationships, but also create
some... you wouldnt have to put up with other people's shit, but you
would soon figure out your own...
another possibility for the concept, is using an imaginary clone to
solve your own internal problems.. we all can easily see what other
people's problems and defects are, and never seem to be able to
solve or see our own... one could imagine the problem as belonging to
your clone, analyse it, give good advice, and then play the
reflection in the pool role, and take & act on such good advice..
another interesting book plot might be an extrapolation of current
trends... the credit slavers have people owing more than they are
actually worth as slaves... I wouldnt pay what most people owe, for
them as slaves, thats for sure...
credit is a snare..... but I think it's most likely to catch it's
setters in due time.... you cant design a crooked social system that
screws the majority of a people, with out them figuring it out sooner
or later, getting together, and tossing you off the ship....
and I think thats where we are now.... people are figuring out the
crooked system, whilst the arrogant elite play Captain Bligh
clones..... my only suggestion to the mutineers, would be to not
bother putting off our earstwhile officer class in the ship's
boats.... just find shark infested waters.... keep the boats....
these guys have caused so much suffering and death with their
macinations, that the ranchers just burning them would seem like the
actions of a polite people...
makes me wonder whats in store for those who have screwed up kids?

Dont think I'd want to have been a family law judge, screwing people
and kids over, so my beloved status quo could keep all the funding
channeled into the military industrial complex...

and other lawyers & politicians, in the US and elsewhere...
all power comes from a gun... So if you dont buy health insurance,
they throw you in jail &/or fine you, if you try to defend your rights
they kill you...
So much for freedom.... no more than ancient mythology now in the US.....
Push the button, the place would be better off a radio active desert

like in Huxley's brave new world, the movie version had primitives
living outside of the cities at indigenous levels... I hope he was
right on that score, I suspect so....

good sense will leave, and those too gutless for freedom will make

law will likely only go out to city limits.... they'll want a big
fence to keep the renegades out, but the barbwire will be on the

worth having... even the women will be sickly, and too soft & fat and
out of shape... better a healthy wild woman... That can actually do

I remember watching Wall street week on TV years ago, and wondering
how the business type people managed to keep on living as obviously
sick looking as they were... They all looked like walking corpses...
especially the women....

Where we are now is they're twiddling with problems caused by
twiddling... nothing is ever actually fixed, the status quo remains
constant...
heard this morning about Einstein's Nobel prize... it was for photons
on metal plates producing energy... in other words the mother of
solar panels... And now going on a century later, we still are powered
by fosil fuels, thanks to same status quo....
freedom is a good deal at any price.. and I notice I do fine on a
single solar panel... No TV etc...
later, just heard a rightwing preacher come to same conclusion I did
about the antichrist... its a type of people! I looked up the
chapter, and description is liars who eat food they dont produce...
I think its the elite, wall street, bankers etc...and they lose their
power upon the arrival...
we, the ones who want to try, are advised to live quietly, and work
for our food..... looks like the blue collar/white collar division
to me.... elite versus common folk...
makes sense... any culture that gets their shit together,
spiritually, perhaps after going through the same thing themselves and
climbing back out of the hole created by liars who destroy a home
planet, wouldnt think very highly of the type that caused the
destruction.. and if they set up wolfling planets, they wouldnt want
them to have it any easier, they might warn the good people, but
wouldnt want to warn the bad, and so would design a warning method
that an arrogant elite would snort at and ignore.... Living quietly,
to me reads; living humbly... not vanity heads.... not TV
evangelists, not war mongering elite fascists....
that way upon arrival, they eliminate the destroyers with a
vengance, and then are left with decent folks who already struggle
valiently to do good works...
all makes sense.... would you want to put star travel & limitless
power, or biological immortality into the hands of instinctual liars
killers and thieves? I wouldnt.. It would be asking for the
destruction of planets far & wide...
We are aproaching childhood's end....
What would they want us for?
to build ships, and elevators in space... Monkies that were agile,
creative, liked to make things, liked to work in groups, and do a good
job just for the satisfaction of doing so... avoid the Credit
enslaver's traps folks, grow food, make things, fix things, get
your own act in order.... Lighten your materialism up... all those
stories in the bible are there for a reason, all the other teachings
that were left for us too...
